Dr. Meza has been an Idaho-based physician for over 25 years. After graduating from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Dr. Meza began providing full spectrum family medical care in Orofino, Idaho and to all residents in the region.  In 2012, Dr. Meza and his wife Casey moved to Coeur d’ Alene and began serving the geriatric and rehabilitative patients.  Dr. Meza provides medical care to residents of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and independent living facilities.

He is the medical director for many of the local and regional skilled nursing facilities and works collaboratively with several of the hospitals to insure safe transitions of care.  He has been nominated twice for Idaho Physician of the year.  He enjoys boating, snow skiing and welding.

Dr. Schwintek was born and raised in North Idaho. He completed medical school at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, completing his internal medicine residency in Spokane, Washington. He has worked in the Northwest for the past 22 years, mostly as a hospitalist.

Dr. Schwintek and his wife Misti have been married for 29 years. They have two amazing children.

In his free time he enjoys reading, getting together with family and doing projects around the house.

Dr. Spence grew up in Northern Idaho and Oregon and has been caring for patient in the St. Maries community for 12 years. He graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University and completed his Family Medicine Residency at University of Illinois-Chicago College of Medicine at Rockford. Dr. Spence started his medical career in Oregon and settled back to Idaho in 2012. He and his wife Chris made St. Maries their home, raising their 2-children, Jacob and Sarah. Dr. Spence enjoys flying airplanes and football.

Dr. Spence is a Family Medicine Provider who also enjoys Emergency Medicine.

John Rudolph, DO, finished his residency at Providence Family Medicine in Spokane, WA, and is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Theology from Whitworth University in Spokane in 2008. He then graduated from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona, in 2013. Dr. Rudolph has special interests in general family medicine, gerontology, and sports medicine. He enjoys running Spartan races, community engagement, and coaching children’s sports.

Dr. Barbara Kammer

Dr. Kammer has been practicing Internal Medicine in the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley for the past 24 years. She and her husband moved to Lewiston, Idaho in 1999 from western Canada, where they were born and raised. She completed medical school at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Kammer has vast experience in outpatient Internal Medicine, as well as being a Hospitalist for 15 years, both locally in Lewiston and Clarkston, as well as Spokane Valley, Washington. Dr. Kammer is excited being a part of the MezaCare team, to provide much needed care for the ever-growing geriatric population in the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley, and to provide professional medical care in the post-acute setting.

When not working, she enjoys boating, camping, hiking, sitting around a campfire, cross country skiing, and spending time with her husband Elden, and children Erin, Sarah and Brandon.

Dr. Robert Lakko

Dr Lakko moved to the Silver Valley in 2015 and has loved making North Idaho his home.  He grew up in Billings, MT before heading to Brigham Young University graduating with a history degree.  During college he took a break to serve a religious and service mission to the Philippines for 2 years.  It was here that cemented his desire to go on to medical school that he might be able to continue serving albeit in a different way.  Medical school was at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences followed by an internship in Las Vegas and then Family Medicine Residency back in his hometown of Billings.  2 years of full spectrum family medicine with OB in rural  Hereford, TX made it clear that Dr. Lakko appreciated rural medicine but he wanted to get closer to home and family, ending up in North Idaho.  He now lives here with his wife of 23 years, 3 sons, and a plethora of pets.

Ali graduated from Idaho State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Zoology with an emphasis in Biochemistry. She later graduated in 2014 with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

Soon after graduating, she found her passion for Internal Medicine and Geriatrics working in a family and internal medicine clinic in Mesa, Arizona. She later joined Dr. Meza in 2016 caring for the elderly patients in Post Acute and Long Term Care facilities. She is passionate about providing excellent medical care for the elderly and chronically ill patients in this area.

When she is not working, Ali loves spending time outdoors with her husband and son camping, backpacking, and boating, as well as trail running with her dog.

Nathan Wheatley, Physician Assistant

Nathan graduated from A.T. Still University with his Master of Physician Assistant Studies.  Nathan began providing treatment and care plans for a wide variety of geriatric and internal medicine patients in multiple Post-Acute and Long-Term facilities in our region immediately after graduating.  Nathan has been practicing with Dr. Meza since 2016.

Before becoming a Physician Assistant,  Nathan was a Medic in the Idaho National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2010-2011. After completing his tour, he completed his bachelor’s in nursing at Idaho State University while serving as an EMT and firefighter in Chubbuck, ID.

Nathan also worked as a registered nurse in cardiology cardiac floor in Pocatello, Idaho before starting Physician Assistant school.

When not caring for geriatric and rehab patients, Nathan loves spending time with his family outdoors: hiking, camping, and boating on lake Coeur d’Alene.

Olivia Wika

Olivia was raised in the Spokane area after moving here at 3 years old. She later attended Western Washington University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She spent 4 years working as a Nursing Assistant, both at a skilled nursing facility and a hospital. She completed a Physician Assistant program in 2023 at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Olivia is happy to be back home in the Inland Northwest, and she is excited to begin her career by caring for our geriatric population. While she’s not working, Olivia will likely be found hiking, knitting, playing video games, or spending time with her husband and cats.

Brittany Johnson, PA

Brittany Johnson, PA-C was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Gonzaga University, before moving to Arizona with her husband to pursue her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She attended A.T. Still University and graduated in 2014. After graduation, she spent several years working as a family medicine provider in Arizona before moving back up to the Northwest with her family. She has also worked in pain management, specializing both procedures to reduce pain and medication management. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, crafting and spending time with her family.

Jenna Lawrey

Jenna was raised in Sweden, prior to moving to Spokane. Her first few years in healthcare included working as an EMT in Deer Park and as a CNA in memory care in Spokane while attending Eastern Washington University to receive her Biology degree. She later received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University in 2023.

In her free time she enjoys traveling around the world, hiking, camping, reading. In the winter time, she enjoys ice skating (getting back to her Swedish roots of ice hockey), skiing and snowboarding.

Jeremy Allen

Jeremy Allen is a Physician Associate (PA-C) with experience across multiple medical specialties, including internal medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care, and primary care. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and also in International Studies from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Masters in Medical Science (MMSc) from Yale University School of Medicine. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he combines Western medical knowledge with his passion for integrative medicine and evolutionary anthropology. Outside of work, Jeremy loves to be connected to the land, whether it’s through farming and ranching, foraging, or hiking and camping.

Lisa Kailey

Lisa graduated from college with an accounting degree, but when she moved to New England in 2010 she discovered she had a passion for nursing. Beginning college for a second time, Lisa obtained her nursing degree from Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth, NH. Then, while working fulltime on an acute Geriatric Psychiatric Unit as an RN, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern New Hampshire University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. After obtaining her MSN-FNP, she worked in Skilled Nursing Facilities managing and prescribing psychiatric medications until moving to the Coeur d’Alene area to be closer to her husband’s family. Lisa plans on continuing her education to obtain her DNP in psychology to better serve the geriatric population in the facilities we serve. As a former athlete, she enjoys watching sports with her husband and is excited to be able to spend time boating and kayaking in the area. She has 2 children who are in college and is excited to see what the world has in store for them.

Whitney was born and raised in Panama City, Florida and graduated from Troy University’s Nurse Practitioner Program in 2021. She was previously an emergency room nurse for over 10 years and worked in ERs all over the country. She came to the hidden gem of North Idaho and decided to plant roots. She is excited to join the Mezacare team, care for the geriatric population, and to be part of the beautiful community of Sandpoint.

When Whitney is not working she enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, boating, and watching every sunset possible. She also enjoys cooking and tending to her plants.

Sara Bradley is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from San Francisco State University and Master of Science in nursing from Gonzaga University. Her background includes 10 years of nursing experience in critical care and medical aesthetics. Sara and her family moved to North Idaho from California in 2015 after visiting Coeur d Alene and falling in love with the area. In her free time, Sara enjoys hiking, baking, and exploring the Inland Northwest with her husband, Ryan, and their three boys. Sara is excited to join the Meza Care team and provide compassionate care for our geriatric community.

Megan Beaudin, NP, graduated from Washington State University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018. Most recently worked at Kootenai Health as a nurse on one of their medical surgical floors. She has recently graduated in December 2022 from Gonzaga University with her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is excited to join Dr. Meza’s team caring for elderly patients and to assist them in living their life to the fullest. In Megan’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children, and dogs being outside with her family and baking.

Connie was raised in Lewiston after moving here at 7 years old. She has been in the healthcare field locally since she was 16 years old as a CNA, RN, and now a Nurse Practitioner. She began her healthcare journey by getting her CNA in high school. She graduated from Walla Walla Community College as an RN in 2014. She wanted to be to offer a better overall healthcare experience so went back to school for Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Walden University with a degree in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020. She believes in going the extra mile for quality healthcare for the historically underserved geriatric population. When she is not working, she enjoys camping, bonfires, boating, and sports with her family; which includes her husband Scott and 2 daughters Clair and Kendra.

Brandon Whitlock, AG-ACNP, is a highly accomplished healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience in various hospital environments. His journey began at Walla Walla Community College, where he attended nursing school, and later obtained a master’s degree in Nursing for Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2017. Influenced by his time in the Marine Corps, he learned the value of service before self, which greatly shaped his dedication to patient well-being and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Brandon finds fulfillment in his personal life. He is happily married to Stephanie Whitlock, and they have two wonderful boys, Gunnar (17) and Ryder (12), and live in Lewiston, Idaho. As a family, they enjoy thrilling adventures like jet boating and creating lasting memories at their cabin. Brandon lives by his personal motto, ‘Service before Self,’ which guides his professional and personal endeavors. With his expertise, compassionate nature, and unwavering commitment, Brandon consistently makes a positive impact on the lives of those he serves, truly exemplifying the qualities valued in the medical field.
